COVID-19 EMERGENCY AID 2021

St. Joseph’s Hospital Maracha, a private non-profit making organization in Arua Diocese under Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) network has been selected as isolation/treatment site in Maracha District and for the clergy and religious in Arua Diocese but it is not well prepared to prevent and respond to COVID-19 pandemic which has spread to Uganda with so many community cases now being detected. Support worth Ugandan Shillings 90,155,270/= is needed; to mobilise medical goods and supplies and other logistics necessary for case management Infection Prevention and Control; improve on planning, coordination and implementation of covid-19 pandemic related activities; enhance risk communication and surveillance to communities.

If appropriate action is not taken early enough, the virus will continue to spread in the community and the hospital will be overwhelmed by critically ill patients leading to untold deaths within the District and neighbourhood. By contributing to this cause, you will have contributed to the containment of the Virus and saved lives of more than 200,000 people who annually seek medical care from the hospital.
